How much does pet surgery cost?

Without an in-depth consultation with one of our veterinarians, it is almost impossible to provide a general cost estimate. Please feel free to reach out to us for the most accurate pricing rates. Some of the many factors that will affect the cost of your pet’s operation are:

Type of surgery (Orthopedic surgeries are more complex and usually cost more than routine surgeries such as spays or neuters.)

Weight of patient (Larger pets will require higher doses of medications like anesthesia.)

Cost of drug and pharmaceutical products (which are beyond our control)

Pre and post-tests, exams, medications and treatments that may be required (e.g. rehabilitation, pain management)

How should I prepare my pet for their surgery?

Your veterinarian will provide you with a detailed guide of how to get your pet ready for their upcoming surgery. In general, below are some steps we ask the majority of pet parents to take in preparation for the operation day:

Your pet’s last meal should be the night before, approximately 10 pm at the latest (No breakfast, snacks on the day of surgery)

Pets should not be drinking any water right before the surgery (empty their water bowl at around 7 am the day of their procedure)

Bathe and groom your pet before their procedure to lessen the chances of post-op infections

Keep outdoor pets inside the night before their operation
