Vet Assistant

I graduated from the Veterinary Office Assistant program at Robertson College in 2016 and have been working at St. Norbert Animal Hospital since July of 2020. I have been an avid animal lover ever since I was a kid, especially cats - they hold a very special place in my heart. I really wanted to get into this field because I wanted to be a part of helping save pets' lives and advocate for the ones who can’t speak for themselves. My favourite aspect of being a Veterinary Assistant is getting to help other pet owners give their pets the best care possible because I know how much our pets truly are a member of the family to us.

I have my own little fur baby that I would do absolutely anything for and she is my adorable rescue cat named Frost. She has such a sassy and funny personality and makes me smile on a daily basis, life definitely never has a dull moment with her around. I also have a less furry friend named Echo who is my Leopard Gecko and I love her just as much. She also has her own little personality and her and Frost like to sit and stare at each other. She always comes out when I’m playing music and when I take her out of her tank she likes to crawl all over me, not to mention she always looks like she has the biggest smile on her face.

I did also have a dog named Cooper who was a St. Bernard and Great Pyrenees mix who we just recently lost to bone cancer this year in 2021. He lived a long and happy life though and made it to the age of 12 which is quite impressive for a large breed. He was the best dog, such a loving and goofy gentle giant who I miss dearly and will never forget. Outside of work I usually like to just spend time at home with my pets, do photography, listen to music, watch my favourite shows and hang out with friends and family.
